It’s that time of year where you get asked the question which is the most important of January- “what are your New Years Resolutions?”
Whereas these can be great to motivate you and put you back on track, I am somebody who is anti resolution. I am a ‘solution’ girl for the long term, rather than quick fixes like New Years resolutions. I used to be the opposite, I would enjoy festering around with my goals for the new year on New Year’s Eve like the next year depended on it. But people dedicate themselves to them for January, then they are forgotten, the little post it notes with the goals on somehow swept away with the confetti from the party poppers.
I’ve spoken before, and with conviction, about how the Law of Attraction is very much real and valid. I prefer to set smaller goals and manifestations throughout time, to benefit myself in the long run. If something is right for you and you ask for it, you will receive it if the Universe then agrees that this is the right path for you.
2018 introduced me to this spirituality, and I have since introduced friends into this positive lifestyle. Last New Years Eve, I wrote three things on a post it note, then I dropped them around my hometown and let go. I remembered what they were all year, hoping that the Universe would seal the promise that I would achieve these things and I did. But it wasn’t a quick goal, these were things that needed the whole year of commitment and dedication to finish, thus, why Resolutions are not my thing.
But what I have discovered and would encourage is that whatever you set your mind to, you can do. You wouldn’t be trusted in a position you wasn’t set out to do, therefore you have to trust yourself first and foremost.
This year, I’ll be making vision boards all year as my mindset and goals change and I feel closer to where I’m meant to be. Stay present, stay trusting and remember to follow the signs.
